Privacy by design

Privacy at ImageMetaCheck

The safest image upload is no upload at all. ImageMetaCheck is designed so supported image analysis happens inside your browser.

01

Images are processed on your device

When you choose a JPEG, PNG, or WebP file, browser code reads its pixels and supported metadata locally. The image file is not included in a network request to ImageMetaCheck.

02

No image storage

We do not create a server-side copy of the selected image. Refreshing or closing the page clears the current analysis from the page.

03

Website analytics and operations

Page analytics may send the URL path, page title, referrer, browser language, screen width, and pseudonymous visitor and session identifiers stored in your browser. Servers may also receive ordinary request data such as an IP address and browser type. Image files, filenames, metadata, and analysis results are not included, and Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals disable analytics.
