Location settings affect capture
Camera location permission controls whether the Camera app can use location while capturing. Existing photos may already have location attached, so changing permission later does not automatically describe old files.
Inspect the outgoing copy
Sharing options and editing workflows can change metadata. Before publishing a sensitive photo, save or export the final copy, then check that exact file for GPS coordinates.
Check location after every export
Inspect the final copy for latitude and longitude before sharing. If you remove metadata or convert the format, download the result and check that file again. Missing GPS does not hide location clues visible in the image, such as an address or recognizable building. Changing camera location permissions affects future capture; it does not automatically remove coordinates already stored in existing photos.
